Have a Joyous Easter

Matthew 28:1- 7
In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.
And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.
His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:
And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.
And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

The Things We Do For Love

"The Things We Do For Love."

"The Things We Do For Love."

I have been working with embossing my cards this week.
My kids bought me some new
embossing patterns for
my birthday.  I love this Victorian look.

They also bought me a new punch
that I wasn't able to enjoy at all.
It didn't work as well as my other
punches, it kept jamming, so I'll have to return it.

The thing is I had already thrown away the packaging
and tore up my receipt,  so I thought.  I told my husband
that I needed to return the item but I had thrown away the packaging and ripped up my receipt.  I was disappointed
thinking $10.00 was wasted.

My husband went outside, dug out the trash bags and started digging.  I told him I would do it, but he didn't want me to.
He dug out almost every piece of  the receipt.  I said,
"The things we do for love."  I felt terrible and told him He didn't have to do it, but He wanted to.

We put the receipt together like
a puzzle and realized after a bit, being able to see the purchases, it was the wrong receipt.
I told him how sorry I was and He was gracious.  I went to check my purse and found I didn't rip up
the receipt after all.

My embossing template left a beautiful impression and so did my husband.

So even though the punch didn't work.  My husband
had shown an action of love towards me.
That really did turn trash into treasure.
