I Made This For My Daughter

I made this blanket in 2017.
It was a Christmas present for my daughter.
I put short faux fur on the back.  It was heavy and comfy.

Crochet Woodland Red Squirrel

I named my squirrel "Pepper Jack"

I used a size K hook for the tail.
I used a J hook for the squirrel.
I used an N hook for the bow.
-yarn embroidery needle-
-spool of green thread
and sewing needle-

-----------

When you mirror the eye put the reflection light on the same side
of the pupil.

Nose and Mouth
-embroidery needle-
White
 Blue
The blue from the yarn skein.

White and black for the mouth.

Ears
I used this video pattern for the ears but I folded them in half.
I used my yarn needle to sew the sides and the bottom.
Then I sewed them to the head with my yarn needle and matching yarn.

Bow
2 different colors of Olive
Chain 35 with N hook
Tie around the neck
Tac it in the back of the neck.
Put a few stitches in the bowknot in the front
to keep it from coming untied.

Feet and Hands
I tied a piece of the matching yarn
around both hands and both feet.
I tied them in a double knot and cut them
all the same length.

The Body and Limbs

Introducing
"Pepper Jack" the woodland squirrel

tail

This is just a sample of how to do the tail.   chain 15.
Then dc two rows.  Turn your work sideways.  Make sc crochet in the dc line.
Chain 10 then sc back into the same double crochet line.  Do that 9 more times in the same double crochet line space.  Continue to the next dc line.  Sc and then chain ten Sc into the same line.  Do that 9 more times.  You continue to follow this pattern all the way down. The whole two rows of dc should be full of chained loops.   You can form your tail or hair by adding chained loops by length or volume where you
want to, to give it the shape you want or make it as full as you want.  You can change your crochet base to change your tail or form a hairstyle.

Feet

He's getting a photoshoot.  He likes to show
off for the camera.  He's been discovered.
He's new to the scene.

He's got a nice tail.  Side view

He's giving his mean

Crochet Heart Towel Ties

Crochet Heart Towel Ties

Using Size I Hook

Start with a magic ring.  1st row:  Connecting the stitch then sc chain 1 sc 12xs.  Pull your magic ring together then sl st closed. 2 row:  Chain 2 then sc over 1st row 14xs. Pull magic ring tight then sl st to connect the row.  Now you should have a bulky ring.
3 row:sc 1 into next stitch. 2 hdc, 2 dc, 2hdc, 1 sc, 1 sc into the next st, sc into the next 4 chains. sl st into next st then dc, chain 2, then sl st into bottom of the same st. Then start up the others side to the next chain and sc, sc into the next 4 stitches slip stitch into the next chain.  Cut off the yarn leaving at least 4 inches of yarn connected.  Take your tapestry needle and matching thread and stitch upward through the next sc and then again weave yarn towards the center of the heart pulling it out at the center beside the other loose end.   Something I Forgot To Tell You....Using your tapestry needle pull your magic ring thread to the front of your work then pull up over the center tightly then weave it
until the yarn is hidden.  Make sure all loose ends are weaved and hidden.

Using Size N Hook

Now take three matching colors of yarn and chain them together then crochet 27 stiches  leaving about 4 or 5 inches of loose strings on each side.  Tie one around your towel while it is hanging up to fit it then tie a knot.
Now that it is sized, remove the knotted tie and use it as an example where to tie your other ties.
Hand sew each heart (with regular needle and matching thread) to the knot of each tie.

Then place your finished work onto your towels by bunching the bottom portion of the towel into your hand and fitting the tie over the bunch and lifting it up to the place it needs to be in order to look neat.

Exodus 8:1-15
And the LORD spake unto Moses, Go unto Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:
 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneadingtroughs: {kneadingtroughs: or, dough}
And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.
And the LORD spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch forth thine hand with thy rod over the streams, over the rivers, and over the ponds, and cause frogs to come up upon the land of Egypt.
And Aaron stretched out his hand over the waters of Egypt; and the frogs came up, and covered the land of Egypt.
And the magicians did so with their enchantments, and brought up frogs upon the land of Egypt.
Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Intreat the LORD, that he may take away the frogs from me, and from my people; and I will let the people go, that they may do sacrifice unto the LORD.
And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?  And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.  And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.
And Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cried unto the LORD because of the frogs which he had brought against Pharaoh.
And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and the frogs died out of the houses, out of the villages, and out of the fields.
And they gathered them together upon heaps: and the land stank.
But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had said.
