Honey Roasted Apple Blessing Bake

Honey-Roasted Apple Crisp Blessing Bake

A comforting, fragrant dish that mirrors the sweetness of kindness and the warmth of God’s creation.

 Ingredients

  • 4 apples (a mix of red and green for visual and symbolic contrast—Joy, Wisdom, Patience, Discernment)

  • 3 tbsp honey (sweetness of gracious words, Proverbs 16:24)

  • 1 tsp cinnamon (warmth and depth)

  • ½ tsp nutmeg (a hint of mystery and wisdom)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice (to preserve and brighten—like truth spoken in love)

  • ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (for strength and texture—quiet resilience)

  • Optional: dried cranberries or golden raisins (reminders of past sweetness and future hope)

  • Optional: crisp topping (½ cup rolled oats, 2 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tbsp melted butter, pinch of salt)

 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Core and slice apples, leaving the skins on for color and integrity.

  3. Toss apples with lemon juice, honey, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.

  4. Spread in a baking dish, sprinkle with nuts and optional fruit.

  5. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, until apples are tender and caramelized.

  6. Serve warm, perhaps with a dollop of Greek yogurt or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
